Clinical Nurse Hormone Specialist
Lesa McPerson-Monaco, a registered nurse, received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. She is a recent graduate of The New England Center of Esthetics Education in Northampton, Mass.
She has been employed at The University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT since 1991 and Interim Health Care of Farmington, CT since 1982. She has had a very rewarding career as a nurse, taking care of children, as well as adults, in a variety of settings, including intensive care, oncology, cardiac care and home care.
Lesa recently joined the Nashville Hormone & Integrative Medicine Center and coordinates one of our medically supported weight management programs. She counsels patients and teaches them how to safely lose weight and keep it off. She works closely with Dr. Monaco to insure that her patients receive the optimum health benefits during their initial weight loss period before‚Ä†gradually transitioning into a long term maintenance. Patients learn how to eat which helps them to keep the weight off and avoid rollercoaster dieting.
